Canvas

Canvas & live dashboard โ€” see what's running.

The OpenClaw canvas at 127.0.0.1:18789 shows live what the agent is doing. We turn it into a team tool โ€” safely and auditably.

The problem

Why this matters right now.

By default the canvas only runs locally on 127.0.0.1:18789. Once teammates need to watch, you either run a risky port forward, an open ngrok or โ€” the right way โ€” a Tailscale mesh with auth.

Our approach

Here's how we do it.

We expose the canvas via Tailscale mesh only to authorised devices, gate it behind auth, document tracing and configure auto-refresh for live skill execution.

What's included

The full package.

TS

Tailscale

Canvas only visible to Tailscale devices. No open port, no public URL.

AU

Auth

Team auth via Tailscale ACLs, optional extra magic link via OAuth (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).

LS

Live skills

See which skill is hitting which LLM with which inputs โ€” in real time, with token counter.

TR

Tracing

Per skill call: inputs, tool calls, outputs, errors โ€” as JSON log or in the canvas UI.

RP

Replay

Past calls can be replayed โ€” ideal for debugging and skill improvement.

AR

Auto-refresh

Dashboard surfaces newest replies automatically โ€” no manual reload.

How it works

From first call to a productive OpenClaw workflow.

  1. 01

    Analyse

30-min check + process map. We pinpoint the 3 workflows where OpenClaw saves time fastest, and which channels are mandatory.

  2. 02

    Setup

Daemon, channels, skills, MCP, allowlists, requireMention, Tailscale and the live dashboard configured cleanly and live.

  3. 03

    Training

Your team works on real tasks: WhatsApp inbox triage, weekly Slack-DM reports, voice-memo-to-CRM, skill maintenance.

  4. 04

    Operations

calver updates, skill extensions, channel care, security reviews, backups and an emergency off-switch โ€” so OpenClaw doesn't fade out.

Packages

Three entry points. One outcome: OpenClaw that works.

Frequent questions

Still open questions?

Write us at hello@openclaw-os.com or book a call directly. We'll take the time.

How safe is Tailscale really?
Tailscale uses WireGuard and MagicDNS. Each device gets a public key authenticated. Safer than a port forward โ€” and easier to set up.
Can we make the canvas public?
Possible, but we don't recommend it. CVE-2026-25253 exploited exactly that. Tailscale mesh or VPN is mandatory.
What does the team see in the canvas?
Live skill executions, tool calls, token usage, errors and latest replies โ€” sorted by user, channel or skill.
What does a complete OpenClaw setup cost?
Starter starts at โ‚ฌ1,850, Business at โ‚ฌ5,900 and Enterprise from โ‚ฌ14,900. Ongoing maintenance starts at โ‚ฌ180/month. LLM costs (OpenAI, Anthropic, local models) run separately.
Is OpenClaw only useful for engineers?
No. That's the whole point of openclaw-os.com: OpenClaw becomes a work assistant for inbox, offers, reports, meetings, research, knowledge and routines โ€” over the channels your team already uses (WhatsApp, Slack, Telegram, iMessage, voice).
Which channels make sense?
We usually start with the channel your team already lives in: WhatsApp and Telegram for external comms, Slack/Teams internally, iMessage on macOS, Discord for communities. The multi-channel strategy follows reality, not technology.
