Mobile

Mobile node + Tailscale โ€” productive anywhere.

OpenClaw works on the go too โ€” when mobile pairing and Tailscale mesh are clean. No open port, no self-host headaches.

The problem

Why this matters right now.

Staff want to use OpenClaw mobile โ€” on the iPhone on the train, on the laptop in a hotel. Open port: security nightmare. VPN hub: complicated. Tailscale is the elegant middle โ€” when you know how to set it up.

Our approach

Here's how we do it.

We set up Tailscale mesh, pair mobile devices with their own auth tokens, document multi-device auth and lock mobile pairing tokens via Keychain.

What's included

The full package.

TS

Tailscale mesh

Tailscale account, tailnet ACLs, MagicDNS, subnet router โ€” set cleanly.

MP

Mobile pairing

iPhone, iPad, Android added to the tailnet via the Tailscale app, with MFA and ACL restriction.

AT

Auth tokens

Per device its own auth token, stored in iOS Keychain or Android Keystore, rotatable.

AC

ACLs

Different permission per mobile device: canvas only, full OpenClaw access or just channel status.

OF

Off-switch

On device loss: one click in Tailscale admin revokes the auth token immediately.

VP

VPN bypass

Tailscale coexists with corporate VPN โ€” staff don't have to swap between VPNs.

How it works

From first call to a productive OpenClaw workflow.

  1. 01

    Analyse

30-min check + process map. We pinpoint the 3 workflows where OpenClaw saves time fastest, and which channels are mandatory.

  2. 02

    Setup

Daemon, channels, skills, MCP, allowlists, requireMention, Tailscale and the live dashboard configured cleanly and live.

  3. 03

    Training

Your team works on real tasks: WhatsApp inbox triage, weekly Slack-DM reports, voice-memo-to-CRM, skill maintenance.

  4. 04

    Operations

calver updates, skill extensions, channel care, security reviews, backups and an emergency off-switch โ€” so OpenClaw doesn't fade out.

Packages

Three entry points. One outcome: OpenClaw that works.

Frequent questions

Still open questions?

Write us at hello@openclaw-os.com or book a call directly. We'll take the time.

Does Tailscale cost for teams?
Tailscale Personal Pro starts at $5/user/month. Recommended for business setups. Free tier covers 3 users.
Does this work without Tailscale?
Alternatives: Cloudflare Zero Trust, Twingate, Tailscale's open-source twin Headscale. We use Tailscale based on experience โ€” least friction.
What if a staff member loses their phone?
Disable Tailscale auth token in admin โ€” device loses access immediately. iOS/Android Keychain is remote-wipe capable.
What does a complete OpenClaw setup cost?
Starter starts at โ‚ฌ1,850, Business at โ‚ฌ5,900 and Enterprise from โ‚ฌ14,900. Ongoing maintenance starts at โ‚ฌ180/month. LLM costs (OpenAI, Anthropic, local models) run separately.
Is OpenClaw only useful for engineers?
No. That's the whole point of openclaw-os.com: OpenClaw becomes a work assistant for inbox, offers, reports, meetings, research, knowledge and routines โ€” over the channels your team already uses (WhatsApp, Slack, Telegram, iMessage, voice).
Which channels make sense?
We usually start with the channel your team already lives in: WhatsApp and Telegram for external comms, Slack/Teams internally, iMessage on macOS, Discord for communities. The multi-channel strategy follows reality, not technology.
